摘要：
An efficient method is proposed for the preparation of a variety of polycondensed 1,8-naphthyridines from 2-amino-3-cyano-6-ethoxy-5-formyl-4-phenylpyridine (1) by Friedlander condensation with cyclic and heterocyclic ketones.
