摘要
In this paper, we propose a generalized framework of packet transmission schedulers which support both real time (RT) and non-real time (NRT) services by extending the packet scheduling algorithm proposed in [3]. For an RT service connection, the proposed scheduler guarantees the required minimum bandwidth. And it gives additional bandwidth to the RT users having urgent packets which are excessively delayed. The proposed scheduler also provides the required minimum bandwidth for NRT services to restrict, for example, web page download delay or file transfer delay. The remaining bandwidth is shared by NRT users according to the predefined ratio. Finally, we show an application example of the proposed scheduling algorithm to the 1x Evolution-Data Only (1xEV-DO) system.
