摘要
With the advancement in the field of medicine and technology, the age of living has increased, thus also increasing the population of the elderly people. Currently, there are various healthcare centres for elderly people but this scenario can be improved by developing a system that will monitor their activities remotely, helping them to perform the activities independently. It will also raise an alarm when an anomalous behaviour is detected and will send a report to their relatives. Several methodologies have been proposed and implemented for carrying out the remote monitoring of the ADLS with every method having its own advantages and disadvantages. This review paper focuses on the critical and comparative analysis of various methods employed and also proposes an effective approach for monitoring the ADLS of the elderly people with reference to the methods studied.
