Optimization of development and modernization regional electric power networks

In the paper the problem optimization of development and modernization regional electric power networks is analyzed. The computational method proposed uses the modified genetic algorithm to calculation of optimum variants of development regional electric power networks. The used algorithm finds the most effective variants of investment undertakings of development distribution network. The method proposed takes into account in calculations the problems of selection of degree modernization elements net. The optimized function is the annual cost of the network's structure (the sum of the annual fixed cost, the annual variable cost, the costs of the undelivered energy, and costs of failure of elements nets). Some results of test on model regional electric power networks that use the method developed are presented. Executed calculations for models of regional electric power networks prove correctness of used methodology.
