We study quantum mechanical tunneling of pinned charge density wave (CDW) based on the generalized Ginzburg-Landau type effective action. In the first place, we investigate effects of super-ohmic dissipation to the quantum creep motion of CDW based on the phase-only-model. Secondly, the quantum tunneling process via the formation of the ''vortex shell'' in 3+1 dimensions is investigated with attention to the size effect. The obtained results are discussed in comparison with a recent experiment.
