摘要
The aim of the article is to examine Kant's notion of enthusiasm from a transcendental point of view. Kant's most famous text concerning enthusiasm is that of the Conflict of the Faculties in which he famously declares that, although an event that is in itself illegal, and attended with terrible consequences, the French revolution is the occasion for spectators to feel something that borders on enthusiasm. In order to explain the nature of this feeling (Gefuhl), as conceived by Kant, the article examines some passages of the Critique of Judgment so as to show the terms in which Kant conceives this sort of experience as regulated by principles of the faculty of judgement (Urteilskraft) and distinguishes it from the mere pathological affection of the human will by objects of experience that deviate it front the imperative of reason (a subject that is discussed in the Critique of Practical Reason).
