A Study on the Work Values of Students from Hong Kong and Macao under Multicultural Background

摘要：
The different work values of students from Hong Kong and Macau are discussed in this paper. A questionnaire is used in the survey involving 607 students from Hong Kong and Macau currently studying in mainland universities. The results hereby gathered are analyzed by the use of modeling method, which then reviews a pattern of the work values of the students. The results show that, firstly, the work values of the students from Hong Kong and Macau includes five comparatively independent elements, that is, working environment, social status, guaranteed income, life style and personality-related factors; Secondly, both Chinese traditional and foreign cultures affect the work values of these students. Therefore, psychological career guidance should be targeted on students from Hong Kong and Macao studying in mainland universities.
