AN IMPLEMENTATION STUDY OF RAILWAY PASSENGER TRAINS' SCHEDULE SYSTEM BASED ON COM

The schedule of passenger trains plays an important role in the railway management operation. In order to get a better schedule; various factors must be taken into consideration, but the basic and principal factor should be passenger flow. As a main programming technology, COM is widely used more and more in building software systems. After analyzing the system design goals and functions, by using ActiveX technique based on COM in Visual C++ development environment, a station ActiveX is developed and is used in the decision support system of railway passenger trains' schedule. Finally, some development results such as passenger flow query and train evaluation are demonstrated.
