Analysis on the Product Design Strategy of the Traditional Cultural Theme Park - A Case Study of the Millennium City Park in Kaifeng City

摘要
The Millennium City Park which is a AAAAA state-level scenic spot is located in Kaifeng City, Henan Province. In 2011, it joined the one hundred million yuan club of Chinese scenic and has become a banner of Kaifeng tourism. However, developing a theme park is not easy, especially in Kaifeng, although it was the northern song capital city before, now the consumption ability there is not high. Thanks to its proper product design and development strategies, the Millennium City Park has made a big success. It will provide some references for the development of other theme parks, and also benefits the research of developing tourism in less developed areas. In recent years China's tourism industry develops very fast largely due to our long history and profound cultural resources. The tourism industry takes culture heritage as its background and promotes cultural resources capitalizable and industrialized. Tourism is an important carrier of cultural industries which shows the cultural connotations and charm, it implements the economic value of culture (Ming Qingzhong, Zhang RuiCai, 2009).But when talking about the development of cultural industries, either indicating the international or the first-tier cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Among the underdeveloped areas of China's cultural industry, we choose the Millennium City Park as a case to study the development path and the product design strategy.
