ECONOMIC CAUTIOUS CONTROL OF INDUSTRIAL PROCESS UNDER FIXED ADJUSTMENT COST

摘要
When engineering process control technique is used to adjust the industrial process, it's appropriate to consider the cost of adjustment. This paper considers the industrial process with unknown initial offset and unknown system gain, which is estimated from data and subjects to uncertainty. By considering the costs of both the off-target and the adjustment action, an economic cautious control scheme is proposed to adjust the process aiming at saving the total quality cost. This scheme determines whether or not the adjustment action is to be performed before the next part manufacturing. Furthermore, the economic cautious control scheme is combined with Kalman filter to update the estimation of the system gain. Some numerical examples illustrating the scheme are given, the results of those examples show that the economic cautious scheme to save the total quality cost is practical and effective.
