Miniaturized Antenna with High Gain and Low Side-Lobe for Automotive Anti-Collision Radar

摘要
A miniaturized 4 x 8 microstrip antenna array with high gain, low side-lobe is proposed in this paper. The S-shaped delay line is applied in the feed network to achieve the miniaturization of antenna array. Furthermore, to acquire the low side-lobe, Taylor series amplitude weighting is used in the current amplitude distributions of feed network. The results of simulation show that the antenna array has a gain of 18.24 dBi, the bandwidth is from 23.65 GHz to 24.34 GHz while VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) is less than 1.5, the side-lobe level in E plane (yoz) and H plane (xoz) are 25.61 dB and 33.12 dB respectively.
