Sex inheritance in polyallele crosses of seeded and seedless grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) cultivars

The inheritance of sex and possible genotypes of parental forms participating in polyallele crosses between seeded and seedless grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) cultivars with different flower types were investigated. It was established that the character of the phenotypic expression of sex in crosses between hermaphrodite and female-functioning with male-functioning grapevine cultivars was determined by heterogeneity of parental forms. In F, progenies plants with hermaphrodite flower type were predominant, followed by seedlings with male or female-functioning flowers and seedless ones with female-functioning flowers. The possible genotypes for the female parents in the first group of crosses are Spspsoso or SpspSoso, and those for the male parents are SpspSoso or Spspsoso. In the second group of parental pairs the possible genotypes for the female-functioning cultivars are spspsoso or spspSoso and for the male-functioning cultivars they are SpspSoso or Spspsoso.
