摘要
This paper presents three kinds of multifunctional devices using discriminating coupling. The designs of filtering power divider (FPD), filtering balun as well as filtering power amplifier (PA) are achieved to avoid cascaded mismatch and reduce the overall circuit sizes. Theory of discriminating coupling is analyzed to control the harmonics of the devices. Thus, the fundamental and harmonic responses can be designed respectively. For demonstrations, a FPD and a filtering balun using low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology are fabricated for the wide stopband. Meanwhile, a filtering PA in printed circuit board (PCB) process is realized for the efficiency and bandwidth enhancement.
