X-ray evidence for supermassive black holes at the centers of nearby galaxies

摘要：
During the last decade, much effort has been concentrated on the search for supermassive black holes in nearby galaxies. Here, we present a summary and follow-up work on some quite exceptional X-ray observations: the ROSA T discovery of giant-amplitude X-ray flares from several optically inactive galaxies. These observations are interpreted in terms of tidal disruption of a star by a supermassive black hole at the center of each flaring galaxy.
