摘要
This article reviews psychologic interventions in the treatment of acute pain, using pediatric procedures as a framework. Cognitive and behavioral strategies and packages that combine cognitive and behavioral techniques are reviewed. For each strategy, the authors provide a description of the treatment procedure and goals then review empiric evidence for that treatment's efficacy. They also provide a brief estimate of its feasibility (amount of time and cost). In addition, this article also describes psychologic factors that influence pain experiences in children.
