Organodiazenido ligands, as well as others which contain metal-nitrogen multiple bonds, have been of great interest in recent years because of their amphoteric nature and close relationship to dinitrogen and nitrosyl ligands. Similarly to nitrosyl group, organodiazenido ligand (-NNR) displays a variety of geometries: singly bent, doubly bent and bridging. Structural and synthetic studies of organodiazenido metal transition complexes have been shown that the chemistry of these compounds is varied and interesting [1-3]. Furthermore, the beta-emitting radionuclides of rhenium, Re-186 and Re-188, are of great interest to nuclear medicine, as they possess physical and nuclear properties favourable for use in systematic radiotherapy [4]. Here, we present the synthesis, spectroscopic and structural characterization of [ReCl2(N2COPh)(2,3'-bpy)(PPh3)(2)].
