摘要
The reversible photoanisotropic bleaching of bacteriorbodopsin (BR) allows the dynamic holographic recording in BR-films not only the usual intensity grating (light intensity is modulated in space), but the polarization grating (only polarization state is modulated in space, the light intensity is not modulated as well). The properties of dynamic holographic polarization gratings in BR-films are studied both experimentally and theoretically. For different ratios between the intensities of recording beams, the dependencies of the relation between diffraction efficiencies of the intensity grating and polarization grating on the total recording intensity are considered. It is shown that comparison of the experimental dependence of this relationship on the recording intensity with calculated one is a very sensitive technique to study the exciting light intensity dependence of the average recovery time in the initial form bR570. We propose to use the dynamic polarization holography properties of BR-film for the optically-controlled light polarization modulator. Tthe capability of dynamic holographic intensity gratings in BR-film in Raman-Nath self-diffraction conditions to analyze the small vibrations and shocks in real time is also demonstrated. An electrical amplification and computation circuits are not needed for the detection and analysis of vibrations in the present method.
