摘要
Baudelaire had been considered as the engine of modernism, and his poetry and art activities promoted the modernism and the formation & development of the impressionism. The academic circles used to focus on his poetry, but did not pay much attention to the connections between his poetry and impressionistic paintings. In the context of Modern Art, Baudelaire's poems' purport, his motivation, means and strategies were the strong evidence for us to explore his direct association with the impressionists, and the orientalization of modem painting, which is the swan song of realism art, but the beginning of graphical art. All these have been explored in the paper so as to study his status in the modem art history, enhance the readers' understanding of modem art and impressionists, and promote the study on art history and literature history.
