摘要：
The paper deals with the current issue of global demand for milk fat and its impact on the increase in the average consumer price of butter in the Czech Republic. The problem is solved using the linear regression and correlation analysis in the time series 2006-2017 with an emphasis on January-August 2017. It was found that the price of 1 kg of butter strongly correlated with the price of 1 l pasteurized semi-skim milk (r = 0.86). Although milk production in the Czech Republic has been rising since 2011, both food prices have risen, with an increase in butter prices since July 2016 significantly higher.
