摘要：

A power compensated differential scanning calorimeter was used to make several thermodynamic measurements of the cholesteric liquid crystal: 3beta-(2-fluorenyl)-cholesteryl-carbamate. For more advanced thermodynamic data, latent heat could be found. Textures of mesophases was observed on a polarizing microscope equipped with a hot stage.
