摘要
This article examines the socio-legal activism of Yirenping, a Beijing-based NGO dedicated to equality rights and anti-discrimination. It argues that Yirenping's legal activism is embedded in China's social and legal systems, and its success or failure to mobilise social-legal action depends on the resourcefulness and quality of the community which it tries to represent. Groups or individuals who are socially embedded tend to be more moderate in making their claims and their advocacy is also more resilient.
