摘要：

It is analysed the relationship between environment quality and economic development in this article by collecting environmental and economic data of Tianjin from 1985 through 2008. Based on Kuznets method, the model of environment quality and economic development has been established, and the Tianjin's environment policy has been evaluated according to the results. It is indicated that as an industrial city, because of the impact of rapid economic growth, Tianjin's environmental quality declined at first, but gradually has been checked since 1980s. It is presented significant features of the Kuznets curve between parts of environmental indicators and GDP per capita. It is largely due to effective environmental policy and environmental investment of Tianjin Municipal Government in recent years.
