A simple technique for space-variant target detection using fractional correlation

摘要
A simple space-variant correlation technique has been proposed using fractional correlation. Phase-only fractional correlation has been proposed for improved target discrimination and light efficiency. Design of fractional matched filters for space-valiant detection of single and multiple objects has been discussed and demonstrated. The effect of object scale variation on the performance of fractional correlation has also been studied.
