Design of a 20-element Inkjet-printed Antenna Array for Wearable Microwave Breast Imaging and Diagnosis

摘要
This paper presents a wearable antenna array which is constructed of 20 inkjet-printed monopole antennas for radar-based microwave breast imaging and diagnosis application. The wearable antenna in a hemisphere-shape dielectric spacer mold incorporates the proposed array of flexible ultrawideband antennas. The designed thin-film antenna has a 3.3 GHz impudence bandwidth which operates in the frequency range from 2.8 GHz to 6.1 GHz. The simulations are performed on several voxel-based human models to verify of the performance of the proposed antenna array in CST microwave studio. The return loss of the antennas mounted on the different positions of the hemisphere array is simulated and analyzed. Results show the designed antenna match over the operating frequency range.
