摘要
Component-based software engineering is the reusing of already available modules for developing new software. It helps the customer by developing high-quality software at minimal expense of time and money. Although, problems such as uncertain quality of third party developed components bring new challenges to the software engineering community while devising methods for component-based software engineering. This poses a challenge to the component-based software development to become a mature industry at par with other development methods. For this reason, appropriate quality models for component-based systems are needed to be developed to establish a standard of quality for component based software. The previous models like McCall's model, Boehm's model, ISO 9126, etc. were not enough to evaluate the quality of component-based software. In this paper, we have used ISO/IEC 25010:2011 quality model as a reference to devise a new model Quality Model for Component-Based E-commerce Application (QMCEA)for evaluating the quality of an E-commerce application which has been developed using component-based software engineering techniques.
