摘要
Some comparison between the results of 3D FEM and 3D Monte Carlo calculations of light propagation inside highly scattering cylindrical optical phantoms are presented. The temporal profiles of transmitted delta Dirac pulses through the cylindrical phantoms have been calculated for different source-detector angles. The comparisons have been carried out in time-domain and for both homogeneous and inhomogeneous cylindrical phantoms; in the latter case some absorbing cylinders were included inside a scattering cylinder. Refractive index mismatch between the phantoms and the surrounding medium was taken into account. Some comparison with experimental results are also shown.
