摘要
In the recent rapidly changing environment of the digital economy, the survival phenomena of dotcom firms have been observed by the electronic commerce industry and academic researchers. This paper aims to develop formal theory-based understanding of the dotcom firms survival. We analyze the factors that affect the dotcom firms survival using the logistic regression model. We employ data from various secondary sources and argue that firm DNA structure affects the survival probabilities of the dotcom firms and the firm DNA structure is formed by the capabilities of entrepreneur, raised funding, information capital.. human capital, social capital and the technology capital. DNA structure will change with the environment to fit the demand of competition. Our results indicate that the empirical model is fit the above assumption.
