摘要
Recovering from the recession of the early 1990s, the face of the Canadian graphic arts industry has changed significantly compared to that of the booming 1980s. New equipment and technology have altered the needs of the Canadian printer end, consequently, that of suppliers to the graphic. arts industry. Free Trade has meant increased competition and a lowering of traditional trode barriers. High speed, low cost photocopiers are altering the types of services provided by smell printers. Although Canada is just north of the United States, the printing ink industry in Canada differs significantly from that of the United States or even Europe. This presentation will provide insight into the current state of affairs of the Canadian printing ink and graphic arts industries.
