摘要
Soil regimes have an important limiting and regulatory role in the vital activity of various organisms. The specifics and duration of the extremes in soil regimes are of particular importance for soil genesis and maintenance of biodiversity. The magnitude and duration of extreme conditions depend on the size of individual soil bodies and the time scale of the study. This must be taken into account in the analysis of soil interaction with the biota. The size and lifetime of individual species vary by many orders of magnitude. In the soil space, soil bodies with different regimes are combined into a kind of multilevel hierarchical system. Studies of this system might help us achieve a better understanding of pedogenetic regularities and biodiversity as dependent on temporal and spatial variation of soil regimes.
