摘要
This study presents a methodology for drought events analysis in Taoer River Basin, which is supported by run theory, copula function and GIS technology from the viewpoints of climatology, geography, hydrology, statistical science and so on. The precipitation data of each meteorological station in Taoer River Basin from 1951 to 2010 is divided into 720 months, drought events were identified by using run theory, the joint probability distribution of drought duration and drought intensity was calculated by using copula function, the spatial distribution of drought characteristics was making by GIS technology. The results show that: mainly short duration and low intensity drought events occurred in Taoer River Basin, and the drought events with long duration and high intensity not often occurred; when drought event occurs in Taoer River Basin, the regions will with the consistent drought characteristics.
