摘要
We evaluate a superhydrophobic surface with a mushroom structure micro pattern by dropping hot water on the surface. Using the silicon master fabrication method and polymer microstructure patterning process, we make a PDMS mushroom structure. Experimental results are presented to confirm the superhydrophobic surface by measuring the contact angle with water, in which surface tension decreases as temperature increases. We also demonstrate experimental data that fabricates a mushroom pattern with five different temperature intervals on a superhydrophobic surface. We calculate theoretical results with four different temperatures based on the Cassie-state equation and compare these results with the experimental data. When dropping hot water, the polymer mushroom structure surface shows superhydrophobic properties. These results may lead to the potential use of various applications to control wettability.
