摘要
Quality of Service (QoS) is a critical issue for the broadcast scheme of IEEE 802.11p systems in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs)(1). We present a 3-dimensional (3-D) Markov chain model to accurately solve for the broadcast scheme of 802.11p systems. The 3th dimension models remaining frozen time in the deferring period. The 3-D model solutions are validated by key simulations. Our analyses reveal that the lack of retransmission in the 802.11p system results in poor QoS performance during heavy traffic load, particularly for large VANETs.
