Steering Transportation Planning into Sustainable Development Strategy

摘要
The primary purpose of this paper is to introduce the performance approach to assess the adaptability level of transportation system to urban development requirement. Thirty six single measures belonging to ten fields are selected to construct the evaluation index through weighted linear integrated processing, and then weight of expert matrix is estimated by a SVD based AHP method to improve the required precision of matrix with acceptable consistency and amend the significant elements via distance and proximity so as to improve the whole consistency. Taking Xi'an city for the case study, analysis results indicate that the adaptability performance of transportation system to urban development requirement is in a decreasing state, which provides robust and deep insight for decision-makers working on a range of problems and in various circumstances.
