摘要
A coconut oil-modified imidazoline, namely aminoehtyl-amine imidazoline, was prepared as green corrosion inhibitor to investigate the H2S corrosion inhibition behavior of 1018 carbon steel and compared with a commercial hydroxyetyl-imidazoline. Techniques included polarization curves, linear polarization curves, electrochemical impedance and electrochemical noise measurements with inhibitor concentrations of 25 ppm. It was found that the coconut oil-modified imidazoline had a better corrosion inhibition performance than the commercial one, decreasing the corrosion rate by one order of magnitude and giving promising results in the preparation of green corrosion inhibitors.
