摘要
This paper presents a design of PSS (Power System Stabilizer) using integrative hybridization of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Tabu Search (TS) methods in a multimachine power system. The main purpose of this design is to damp electromechanical oscillations and stabilizes low-frequency oscillations of power systems. The PSS parameters tuned by formulating an optimization problem, which is solved using different metaheuristic techniques, in order to reach optimal global stability. This approach is applied to the WSCC (Western System Coordinating Council) three-machine nine-bus system under different operating conditions. A comparison between the proposed techniques indicates the robustness of the proposed hybrid approach, in terms of performance and real-time simulation consumption. The discussion highlights the importance of the proposed approach in determining the global stability.
