Assistant effect of nano-CaCO3 particles on the dispersion of TiO2 pigment in polypropylene composites

摘要
The influence of synergism of nano-CaCO3 and TiO2 pigments on the performance of colored polypropylene (PP) products was discussed. Nano-CaCO3 was synthesized by a high gravity reactive precipitation method and was employed as a new pigment dispersant, blending with TiO2 and other additives. The compound was found to be an excellent pigment dispersant, which could partially replace TiO2 piments for PP resin coloring. The compound also prompted the dispersion of TiO2 in polymer matrix.
