摘要：

The increase of international sports events held in China requires college students to become qualified volunteers. Thus, to improve their oral English and communicative competence is urgent. This paper attempts to present how to apply task-based language teaching (TBLT) to sports English to arouse initiatives of students through completing tasks in authentic context, thus developing their English linguistic competence and communicative skills.
