Discussion on the Teaching Method of Network Security Course with Students as the Center

Network security problem is increasingly grim in the internet of everything. Network security course also has become a required course in computer school of almost all universities. However, the demand of network security personnel is still far greater than the supply of network security personnel. How to cultivate the network security personnel to meet the needs from enterprises has been a hot issue. This paper, combined with our actual teaching experience from network security course for many years, discusses the teaching methods of network security course with students as the center, including theory teaching, practice teaching, after-school interest clubs and assessment system. At the same time, we present a detail implementation process and also show the matters that should be paid attention in each kind of method. The teaching methods proposed in this paper have a good guide and inspiration to similar courses for other colleges and universities.
