摘要
In 2007-2009, two major industrial institutes-the Krylov State Research Center and the Central Research Institute of See Fleet-performed a speed study in line with the Federal Target Program "The National Technological Base." The current state of high-speed water transport was considered, and the most reasonable areas of its application were determined together with types of vessels whose exploitation would be most useful in Russia. The results led to reassessing the opportunities and prospects of vessel development in Russia and made it possible to compare them with the potential of other countries.
