摘要
The objective of this paper is showing the continuities of the Paraguayan political system under three dimensions: electoral, government policies and ideology. Based on the electoral results of April 2018 elections, the conformation of the elected government and the legislative, as well as the public policies implemented in the first two years of Mario Abdo Benitez's government. This work shows the right-wing and conservative continuity of the political system that it's occurs under coloradismo during the Paraguayan democracy. This continuity under the Mario Abdo Benitez's government is mainly expressed in his economy policy an in human rights issues, along with certain of authoritarian features that have characterized the current Paraguayan president's style of governing, especially in issues such as security, gender equality and its ideological alignment with its right-wing peers of Conosur.
