摘要
The influence of magnesium silicates, as sintering promoters, on the technological behaviour of porcelain stoneware tiles has been investigated. Three different raw materials formulations were studied: a typical industrial body, containing sodium feldspar as flux, and two alternative mixtures containing tale or chlorite as magnesium source, in partial replacement of feldspar. The comparison of the technological properties of fired products highlighted a higher reactivity during sintering of bodies containing magnesium silicates, that seems to be connected with both a larger amount and a lower viscosity of the liquid phase formed at high temperature.
