摘要：
In this study, numerical models have been developed and validated for bolted connections in austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. Failure criteria for bolt shear, bearing and net section fracture have been proposed and implemented. Following comparisons with test data, the developed models were shown to be capable of accurately predicting the full deformation behaviour and the ultimate capacity of stainless steel connections. Parametric Studies were performed and a proposed simplification to the current design formula for net section fracture given in Eurocode 3: Part 1.4 has been proposed.
