摘要：

The development and current status of the decentralized automatic generation control (AGO researches for interconnected power systems is surveyed. The functions, purposes, models and control methods of AGC are elaborated. The applications of linear-control, adaptive-variable-structure control, robust control and intelligent control for AGC are summarized. Meanwhile, the problems needing to be solved are analysed and the unsolved problems-in AGC are pointed out.
