Pressure vessel with corrugated core numerical strength and experimental analysis

摘要
The article examines the cylinder's core strength and indicates the advantages of its weight compared to the integral material cylinder. Numerical investigations of the finite element method applied to the strength calculation of a cylinder with a core are presented. The cylinder with a core examined by the calculations was tested in the natural load conditions and the experimental data was obtained. The comparison of the numerical and experimental results has shown a good congruence. In the case of the same pressure, the results have shown that the cellular cylinder's mass is 1.42 times lesser than integral's and it allows to save the materials and to create light structures.
