A New Routing Scheme for Large-scale Computer Network

摘要
As the scale of the computer network increasing, not only the node device will be more and more expensive because the storage and computation are increased, but also the performance of network composed is decreased. In this paper, we deal with the problem of scalability of network routing by proposing a new routing scheme, i.e. Hierarchical Recursively-Routing (HRR) which is based on a new network technique called Vector Network. To evaluated the performance of HRR, it is compared with IS-IS which is widely used in large-scale computer network routing. Two simulation experiments are performed. The feasibility of the scheme HRR is proven and it is demonstrated that the performance of HRR is better than that of IS-IS when the network size is large enough. The results show that HRR is implementable and scalable for large-scale computer network.
