A-Chymotrypsin and Urease Inhibitory Activity of Diversolides C, D and E from the Roots of Ferula Diversivittata

摘要
Sesquiterpene Intone derivatives, diversolides-C (giferolide) (1), -D (malafilin) (2), and -E (fegvolide) (3), isolated from the roots of Ferula diversivittata, Regel. & Schmalh, were evaluated for alpha-chymotrypsin and urease inhibition activities. Diversolide-E (3) was found to be a moderate inhibitor against both enzymes while all others were found to be inactive. The IC50 +/- SEM values of 3 were 388.2 +/- 1.7 mu M, and 116.0 +/- 4.8 mu M for alpha-chymotrypsin and urease, respectively.
