Natural convection in a vertical cylindrical tank heated from the side, with local heat sinks present in its lateral wall, is numerically simulated. The steady-state heat transfer regime is thoroughly studied for a wide range of determining parameters. An approximate model of heat transfer between the wall and the liquid is suggested for generalization of the results.
