摘要
Renewable energy and all sources of non-conventional energy are catching an eye in the field of power generation. Modern technologies, research and innovations are done for optimization of those power harvesting techniques which focus on reducing the cost and increasing the efficiency of the available means. The induction generator is the vital component of power generation network. This paper present the review of design and developmental aspects of permanent magnet induction generator utilized for renewable energy applications. The constructional details including the magnetic properties of materials used for manufacturing permanent magnet induction generator is also highlighted in this paper. The paper also discusses various real-time applications of induction generator in detail. The paper depicts an overview of permanent magnet induction generator and its various fields of applications.
