摘要
C-f/ZrC composite was prepared by infiltrating porous C-f/C preform with melting Zr2Cu alloy at 1200 degrees C in vacuum. The results show that the ZrC as the main phase has a content of 43.8 +/- 1.3% (volume fraction). The flexural strength and modulus is 105.7 +/- 5.3 MPa and 64.3 +/- 2.8 GPa, respectively. ZrC growth is controlled by solution-precipitation mechanism. The carbon dissolves in the melting metals and forms C-Zr-Cu miscible phase. Then ZrC nanocrystals are deposited after the melt is saturated, and grow quickly by amalgamation and diffusion. The mass loss rate and linear recession rate of the sample is 0.0039 +/- 0.0008 g/s and 0.0023 +/- 0.0012 mm/s, respectively. So the C-f/ZrC composites show good anti-ablation properties.
