摘要：

Investment and production costs for fishmeal plants are hereby presented along with a detailed analysis of different process types in relation to economies of scale. For fishmeal plants a cost-capacity factor of 0.618 was determined. Short and long run costs curves for developed and developing countries were analysed. Factors such as labour productivity, processing technology and location were studied to select the optimum plant size. To evaluate the behaviour of fishmeal plants in developing countries breakeven analysis was applied. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
